Website & Digital Product Terms

Version: 2026-10-02 · Last updated: October 2, 2026

1. Who we are

Grandma's Chinese Kitchen is operated by JUNHENG CHEN, an individual operator based in China. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to this website operator.

Contact address: Unit 2, Building 10, Xingfu Yuan, Longshan District, Liaoyuan, Jilin, China.

Email: chinese_kitchen@163.com

2. Scope and Merchant of Record

These terms cover use of our website, your account, delivery of our digital content and the licence granted for that content.

Purchases processed through Dodo Payments use Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. The legal seller for that transaction and the applicable buyer terms are identified in the checkout and transaction documents. Those buyer terms govern your purchase contract with that seller.

These terms do not replace the applicable Dodo Payments buyer terms or override mandatory consumer law.

3. Product information

Our products are digital PDF recipe guides, primarily in English. No physical book is shipped. The product page identifies the contents included in your purchase.

You need an internet connection, a device with a compatible PDF reader and sufficient storage to access and download the files. Check the product page for file sizes and any additional requirements.

Some food images are AI-generated illustrations. They do not represent photographs of a tested cooking result. Actual appearance and results vary with ingredients, equipment and preparation.

4. Prices and placing an order

Website prices are displayed in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Any bundle savings are shown before checkout. Review the products, currency, applicable taxes and final amount in the payment checkout before authorising payment.

Your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion or other fees outside our control. Completing a payment creates an obligation to pay the amount shown at checkout. Contract formation is governed by the applicable buyer terms.

Provide accurate purchase information and check your order before payment. Contact us if you discover an error. Sales are subject to the countries and payment methods supported by the checkout provider and applicable law.

5. Accounts and digital delivery

Sign in using an email address you control. Keep login codes and purchase access codes confidential. Purchases are linked to the account email used to begin checkout.

After payment is verified, purchased guides are made accessible through My Kitchen. Payment verification or delivery may occasionally be delayed. Contact us if your purchase does not appear or cannot be accessed.

Sign in to My Kitchen to access and download your purchased guides again. We do not impose a fixed limit on the number of downloads. Individual download links may expire for security reasons; you can obtain a new link through My Kitchen.

You may save personal copies on your own devices. Downloads and account access are for your personal use only. Sharing files or access credentials, redistributing the guides, or reselling them is not permitted except where applicable law allows such use. Contact us if you experience an access or download problem.

Repeat downloads do not constitute a promise of lifetime website operation. Any future service changes remain subject to the commitments made for your purchase and applicable consumer law.

6. Immediate supply and withdrawal rights

Digital content may be supplied during a statutory withdrawal or cancellation period only in accordance with applicable law. Where an exception requires express consent and an acknowledgement of loss of withdrawal rights, these must be obtained before supply begins, together with any required contract confirmation.

Accepting these general terms does not itself constitute that separate consent or waive all refund rights. Non-delivery, defects and other statutory remedies remain subject to applicable law.

See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for withdrawal information and how to submit a request.

7. Your licence and permitted use

Subject to payment and applicable law, you receive a non-exclusive licence to read, download, keep personal backup copies and print the purchased guide for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may cook the recipes. You may not resell, publicly upload, distribute or share copies of the guide, share account access, or commercially exploit its text, layout or artwork without permission, except where applicable law permits such use.

Intellectual property protection applies only to material and rights protected by applicable law. Purchasing a guide does not transfer ownership of those rights.

8. Cooking and food safety

Our guides provide general cooking information, not personalised medical or nutritional advice. Consider allergies and dietary needs, check ingredient labels and follow appropriate hygiene, storage and safe cooking practices. Cooking times may vary with your equipment.

This information does not exclude our responsibility for content quality or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Website availability and account restrictions

Access may be temporarily interrupted by maintenance or technical problems. We will address reported problems and provide remedies required by applicable law.

We may take proportionate steps to restrict access where necessary to address fraud, security threats or unlawful distribution. Where lawful and practicable, we will explain the restriction and provide a way to contact us. Restrictions do not remove your statutory rights.

10. Responsibility and consumer rights

Our responsibility is determined by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing removes mandatory protections available to consumers under applicable local law, including rights relating to digital content, withdrawal, refunds and access to courts or competent authorities.

11. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Purchase and account messages are used to operate the service. Acceptance of these terms is not consent to marketing emails.

12. Changes and keeping a copy

Updates will show a new version and revision date. Changes will not retrospectively reduce the rights or alter the agreed licence, price or delivery conditions of an existing purchase without a lawful basis.

You can save or print these terms using your browser. Contact us at chinese_kitchen@163.com with questions about your purchase or these terms.
